Our 5th grade students have completed their "Too Good for Drugs" curriculum this week and are beginning to share their essays on what they have learned throughout the course. The essays have been a joint effort with our Family Life and Language Arts classes. Students are reading their essays to their classmates and doing a phenomenal job. It is exciting to hear what the students have learned and how they are pledging to be DRUG FREE.
Many thanks to Officer Josh Masenior for working with the students of OCS and making sure they understand that he is a resource, instructor and friend to all or our students.

WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The OCS archery team was named the New Jersey State NASP Champions for the 7th straight year. We will be traveling to Louisville, KY over Mother's Day weekend to compete at the National Tournament. Congratulations to all the archers, parents and families. Being part of a state championship team is something that will last a lifetime. The archers will continue to practice and parents are busy fund raising so we can represent Oxford and New Jersey at the National Tournament. Thanks to everyone who constantly support the archers.

Welcome!

We would like to take an opportunity to welcome Ms. Karen Delle Donne ("dela donna"), Ms. D. to Oxford Central School. Ms. D. a junior at East Stroudsburg University and is beginning her Professional Development School (PDS) here in Oxford. She will be visiting with us on Monday's and Wednesday's until her semester ends in the beginning of May. Ms. D. will join us again in September to start her student teaching experience. She has commented on how friendly the students are here at OCS and they have made her feel welcome. We look forward to working with Ms. D. over the next couple of weeks.

NJ NASP SHOOT!!!

On Wednesday March 13, 2013 the Oxford Central School Archery Team will be participating in the New Jersey NASP "Virtual" Shoot. The competition will take place right in our own gymnasium. All of the archers have been working extremely hard to represent Oxford in the New Jersey Tournament. I know they will not disappoint and I am confident they will do their best. Everyone is welcome to attend the shoot! It will begin at approximately 3:15 PM and will last about 1 hour. After the OCS archers are finished, Warren Hill High School Archery Team will shoot their score in our gymnasium. Hopefully everyone can come out and support both teams. Results from the NJ tournament are due to the state on March 15, 2013 and soon after that they will post the results.
